ALERT: Vortex - beter vermijden dan genezen

Meer dan 95 procent van alle "vortex-ongevallen" waarbij helikopters betrokken zijn, is te wijten aan de tussenkomst van de piloot.

Met zijn Vuichard Recovery Aviation Safety Foundation zet de Zwitser Claude Vuichard zich in om door preventieve maatregelen helikopterongevallen te voorkomen. De Foundation heeft nu een nieuwe video gepubliceerd die duidelijk uitlegt hoe gevaarlijke "Vortex Ring State"-situaties ontstaan en vooral laat zien hoe deze voorkomen kunnen worden. 

Mogen we zeggen dat deze video door iedere helikopterpiloot moet worden bekeken? Ja, zonder twijfel!
